Topher Grace Sound Effect in Predators (2010) Movie?

Actually I think they have just added a pitched down version of his dialog. When you pitch it down you need to keep the timing the same so it will sync. That will also create the vibrato/ warble quality. I would start at -12 semitones and work down till you get what you want.

Don't know Audition so? You can certainly do this in Pro Tools.

But Audition probably has a pitch tool. Make sure to have it keep the length the same and to just lower the pitch. At -12 semitones the voice will be an octave lower and twice as long if you don't have it keep the length the same.

It's like a tremolo/vibrato effect that could be achieved by using a combination of a vocoder/gate/delay. Then you pitch it down to whatever value that sounds appropriate for your project. Audition has some interesting plugins that you ought to give it a try.

Alan, the vibrato effect will come when you pitch that far and keep the time the same. The plugin has to drop out 1/2 the sound to keep the timing and that gives you the vibrato. Now a high quality pitch shift might be smoother so maybe you would need some vibrato added?? But using the plugins that come with PT you get this from the pitch shift alone.

I've always used Serato's Pitch n' Time a ton, and I've never experienced the vibrato you are talking about.
