Top Handle record button ?

The record stop/start button on the top handle all of a sudden stopped working on our HPX500 ...

I've searched the forums ... has anyone else had this trouble ?

Is there a factory reset ?

just to make sure: isn´t there an on/off switch next to it?

There is an on / off button on the handle on the p2 side of the camera - check it hasnt been turned off.

This same thing happened to me. I felt pretty stupid when I figured out what had happened.

yup -- feeling stupid myself -- just found it, I never look at that side of the camera -- didn't even know it was there.

Thing of it is ... I was just saying to my grip today, "man I'm missing that top handle record button" and he was standing right there looking at that side of the camera. Also, just found it in the manual too.
