FS7: Top Handle & Easy Rig

Has anyone had any experience "flying" their rigged out FS7 from an Easy Rig using the factory top handle? I also have the Tilta cage in place so it overlaps the factory screw mounts - which may or may not help.

As a follow-up question: I've considered adding the Kong Frog for ease of use but I'm definitely not sure if the 1/4 screw on the factory top handle is to be trusted to hang the rig from.

If its anything like the F5,which I suspect it is.. I dont think i would trust those 4 tiny screws .. ep if the camera is fully rigged.. and /or with a cine zoom..

I haven't really seen F5 handle so I can't speak to that. The Tilta cage wraps / bolts overtop the handle, around the lens mount area and into the baseplate. Also, the four stock bolts on the handle are replaced by longer screws that "bite" into the camera body further than stock. Would it help if I attached pictures of how it all goes together? Not saying you're wrong by any stretch but as you said, this really isn't a "try it and see" sort of situation :)

Yes hopefully someone with the same rig can answer you.. I use an easy rig with a F5 /Cn7 and I would never try it with the original handle.. my advise is just basic .. it seems just about everyone replaces the handles on these cameras.. as the 4 tiny screws are a bit of a joke.. and adds a cheese plate and handle.. mine is Vocas.. even without using an easy rig.. Im sure the tilta is helping.. just my personal advise to anyone would be to replace the whole thing..

Thank you, Donny. Yes, those original screws were very suspect. I may try to take pictures later today too - just in case someone stumbles into this thread later.

I've used my Easyrig with the FS7 (standard top handle), zacuto universal baseplate, canon 24-105, mattebox and v-locks for about a year. I feel confident about it.
The 4 screws are 1/4 20, screw in just over 3 turns and go into coiled tap inserts on the FS7. Have a smallrig top-plate, but that doesn't cover/support the handle in any way.
Good practice to run your safety line from the Easyrig regardless.

cheers
