:huh: I would put Dane Cook at the number one spot for the worst of the worst all time comedian list...His bust would prominently be displayed in the Stand-UP Hall of Shame next to that of Paulie Shore and Sinbad.

Speaking of joke-tellers, I think the nation itself is telling me a doozie. I don't believe for a moment that this cat Dane Cook is really so widely popular...nor is he really considered to be hysterically funny by so many people. Come on, America...hit me with the punchline already.:huh:

Being fresh out of college, i'd have to say that Dane Cook IS that popular. But you either love him or hate him. I wouldn't put him on any top ten list because of longevity, but his delivery is pretty spectacular. I don't think it's quite fair to put him with Shore and Sinbad.

Richard Pryor has to be the all time best. I couldn't stop laughing with the guy. He's a legend.

I also like Dave Attel

I don't like Dane Cook. So many people quote him all the time at my highschool. He just bothers me.

Luis Black isn't that funny to me either. He's always one of the low points on the Daily Show to me. Sometimes he's funny, though.

Jerry Seinfeld is one of my favorites along with Robin Williams. I used to want to be a stand-up comedian about 3 years ago.

yea, i seem to remember louis ck being quoted as saying "i'm not going sue some guy over a bit called a$$hole."

but still, dane cook is to be drawn and quartered

Andy kaufman
Bill Murray
Richard Pryor
Steve Martin

Good list, but I'm actually watching a thing on Rodney Dangerield and I have to say he should certainly be added to this list. This is a guy I grew up on along with Eddie Murphy and Redd Foxx. I think these guys should be on the list.

He's not mexican.

And his name isn't Carlos Mencia either...it's Ned Holeness. I think I would change my name too if I was born with that humdinger...And I have to say no one has made me laugh harder than George Carlin. Yeah, he got angry and bitter in his last few years, but he was always blisteringly truthful and funny right up until the end. Also, Carlin is one of the few comedians whose act kept growing and who managed to stay relevant over several decades.

I really like Cal's list, I'd say mine would match close enough to that.

I also really enjoy:
* Brian Regan
* Jim Gaffigan
* John Pinette

I couldn't agree more, sir.:beer: Carlin was my hero. I had a really hard time with his passing.

Only TWO mentions of Bill Hicks in this entire thread? Come on, you guys. My bottom 8 of my top ten changes constantly, but my top two has pretty much always consisted of Bill Hicks and Zach Galifianakis
