Saw it yesterday ..and I must say nothing really happens ....
I was not happy nor dissapointed .Just sat there with my wife and all the teenagers of Paramaribo.

Anyways Bella ,Kristen looked great ...still wonder what's up with the makeup artist(s)....it was so sloppy. Dont they know there are gonna be closeups.

First time I saw Twilight was on DVD and I thought that was the cleanset & sharpest movie I'd seen. Now on the big screen I must say Eclipse was grainy some shots ....well lit shots were even noisy. I would not be suprised if some parts where shot with a xha1 and 35 mm adapter...

Now for some reason I need to see part 4 .

Saw it, it was aweful. Stephanie Meyer is the worst writer of our time. I feel sorry for the writers and directors they hire that have to adapt that piece of crap into a good movie. Though the first director seemed to love twilight.

Thought I gotta admit, the action was pretty good (same director of 30 days of night). Buuuut the whole attempted love triangle was forced, weak, and riddle with more plot holes than swiss cheese. Situations arose for no reason other than to create conflict between bella and edward. Considering it apparently followed the book, it makes me think Stephanie Meyer cannot write for her life.

Don't feel sorry for Catherine Hardwicke (directed the first one). She does not deserve your sympathy.

My wife is convinced I'll like it. I thought the first movie had a lot of potential but fell flat (due to the director), I felt the second movie was awful, and a waste of time... my wife pretty much agreed with my assessment of the two, but she really liked the third one. We'll see...

I have nothing against the book series. I've never read them. But, I cannot take the movies seriously. Because of my gf, I've been subjected to the first one twice and most of the second one and they are TERRIBLE. Usually, when a book is brought to the big screen the literary snobs come out of the wood-work long enough to utter the phrase "the book was much better." But because these books are so popular the fans just want more of it, even if that includes poorly made movie versions. Which is sad.

My gf thinks that I hate the movies because I tease her about Edward Cullen. No. I hate the movies because they are absolutely TERRIBLE. They are like a poorly done 90210 episode with horrid acting, out of place musical cues, contrived conflict, etc. etc. etc. If the movie was even remotely good, I might want to pick up the book. But, I can't. It's amazing to me that a whole mod of people who clamor for these books assign no responsibility to the filmmakers to produce a good movie. They simply don't care. It's the same line of thought that thinks "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" is good television. My gf and my sister in law (and her neighbors who are in their 40's btw) sat there at the Midnight Premiere on a Tuesday night. WTF? I've never seen anything like it. Then you've got the other end of the spectrum when fan-boys of comic book heroes or the original Star Trek storm the gates and picket to critisize anything they disapprove of when their stories hit the big screen.

I just don't get this Twilight thing. The movies are absolutely "Showgirls" awful. And even in that flick, you got to see a bit of nudity.

Lol. I haven't seen the new one. I might check it out on DVD. But I don't like the whole thing. Kinda cracks me up about all the Twilight TV show wannabes as well, over the last few months I swear I've seen two seperate vampire shows suddenly appear, and both have Twilight style shots and ads, posters, etc. I know why they do stuff like that but it's still hilarious.

What's worse is I've noticed shows and products that have nothing to do with twilight or vampires have started mimicking the poster/text style of the Twilight films. Yuck! Suddenly everything's over a black foggy background with that font and a dark feel. :kali:

Anyway back to the film. The shirtless stuff cracks me up. But they seem to be reaching their audience, I suppose...

A book is not a screenplay! A screenplay is not a book! Rule 101.

My girlfriend read the Twilight books and that might just be the only thing I dislike about her.

I still think we're harder on Twilight than our girls are on our no plot action movies. Nothing wrong with girls getting a silly fantasy that makes no sense on the big screen.

I saw twilight in the theater and it was pretty strange. It a very wispy plot, and I don't really care if bella chooses jacob or edward (most of the movie relied on a sort of suspense here). The giant wolves were great, though, and I really liked the fighting (all 2 minutes of it).

There's one part where bella's literally freezing to death and edward can't warm her up (vampire), so jacob has to get in bed with here to warm her up. I guess it was supposed to be a big deal but seriously who cares. I couldn't care less who bella goes out with. It was actually kind of funny.

Nice atmosphere, though. Lots of cloudy skies. Jacob has his shirt off the whole time, which was pretty gay. He's pretty fit and there are no naked girls (why?). It's like being in prison.

But we are just as hard on no plot action movies. Twilight deserves us being hard on it. It's a terrible movie.
