Too Much Too Soon HELP!

You typically check a box in the codec's preferences. In picvideo it's called "use as default codec" or something like that. Check the device manager.

alright, i'll un-install the codec pack i have now, install picvideo alone, then i'll see what happens. but so far, i'm digging the script. it took 16 secs to render a 6 sec clip at .h264 720p, which isn't too bad. this is running XP 64bit, 3.0ghz 4gig ram. I don't think I'll up-rez it any cause I like the 720p. But will attempt it at a later time.

problem solved. morgan mjpeg is the codec, from the ace mega codec pack pro, i went with. tried the picvideo out and didn't work for me.

what do you mean it didn't "work"? i mean morgan is great but i like the picvideo advanced deblocking a lot. did you set it to "normalized mjpeg"? otherwise it gives you the same dark results.

didn't work as the chroma was still way off. i suppose it was due to it being the demo. it's all good now. i'm not worried about that deblocking.

well, did you set the required parameter? as for the deblocking it actually does make a significant difference. try it.

/matt

yeah, luma. i went with picvideo, but did notice a bit of a slowdown when "deblocking" was checked. so I unchecked it and it ran smoother. but when I export I'll check that box again. maybe it'll make a difference maybe it wont.
