I went looking for DIY tutorials for some devices I wanted to make for my new DVX. There was a lot of places with broken links and non-working sources. I did some research and found a lot of tutorials on different DIY projects.

If you have one you want added to the list, please POST here!

EDIT: Updated, links fixed, looking for more to add! MARCH 13, 2014

COOL ****!

Hey, I added your links. Your comments and insights into some of the current problems with some of the homemade stuff is also excellent. I'll be using your photos and advice as I make my own items.

Thanks a ton, good stuff.

Sounds great. Thanks!

There are also some great plans by Cody Deegan (jib section of list) for a full stabilizer rig. I recently bought the "low-budget" plans. The plans cost $35, but they are great. Very descriptive and detailed instructions. I have purchased all the materials and will start building it once the hero fest is over. Well worth the money. Project is pretty time intensive, but who can argue with having a full rig.

Plans are here

Some forum discussion about the plans are here

Hey, where is that thread about the DIY XLR cables. I remember seeing a thread sometime back wherein it was mentioned that a DVXuser member was creating and selling these colourful XLR cables. They looked like bungee cords. I keeping doing searches but can't seem to find it.
