Country music legend John Conlee’s brand new music video, “They Also
Serve”, an emotional tribute to military families, will premiere to a
national television audience on “Super Bowl Sunday,” February 6, 2005 on
Fox News Channel’s Fox Magazine. Fox Magazine will air at 10 PM CST (11
PM EST). On that same day, Armed Forces Television will start
broadcasting the video world wide, and soon after it will start airing
on GAC (Great American Country).
John Donegan was selected to produce and direct the video on the basis
of his script treatment and his reputation delivering the most “on
screen bang for the buck in Nashville”. John’s concept was based on
using Ft. Campbell soldiers and their families, and after gaining swift
approval from The Pentagon and the Army at Ft. Campbell, production
began.
John said, “After several trips to Ft. Campbell, the Bastogne Brigade
(featured in the video) and their families, became like an extended
family to me. This is a project I am personally and emotionally
attached to since I wrote the screen treatment (the script) and also was
the video’s producer, director, cinematographer and editor. After first
hearing this song, I knew exactly what I wanted to create and John
Conlee allowed me the freedom to do it. What we all created together is
a powerfully real and personal snapshot of Americans.”
“I think the end result will help this wonderful song reach across
musical genres.”
Tune in on Super Bowl Sunday.
