Good ol' Jan Michael Vincent. I found this info about where he is now.

He's had his problems with drugs and alcohol, he was involved in a car accident in 1996 "resulting in a broken neck" (whose, I do not know), pleaded not guilty to DWI for that accident a year later. Spent 60 days in jail in 2000 for violating probation by being drunk in public. Arrested July, 2000 for battering his fiancee.
The person who originally sent me this one said he was working as a security guard in Texas. Thanks to some due dilligence by readers Steve and Pam Albright, who went so far as to search a Texas database and found the security guard had his birthday March/3/1980 while our JMV seems to have been born July 15/1944. So that is officially considered debunked.
The last thing he appears in is a movie called Whiteboy, directed by Abel Ferrara in 2002, in it he plays a racist sheriff.
There is also an official JMV website which is currently inactive.
Update: Mar, 2004: Reader Libby Hess reported some time ago that he is now living in Redwood, Mississippi, where he was admitted to River Region Medical Center in late 2002 and was seen by locals in a wheelchair, accompanied by a woman companion who attracts attention because of her "strange wardrobe". The locals pretty well leave him alone and wish him well.

Absolutely! And expected no less...
But no, it wasnt really a matter of whatever became of him...it was quite strange actually.
I was cutting grass, and oddly contemplating Vietnam War P.O.W's, and how they would have been willing to die and re-encarnate to take my place cutting grass (which I cant stand having to do). And there it came out of nowhere.....not in pictures, but rather in great glorious text across the screen of my mind.....the words Jan Michael Vincent, whom I havent given in thought in quite some piece of time.
Richie, that was some truly fascinating info! Thanks for that!

Though funny, I declare the everyone who went outside the unwritten theme of 80's TV hunks to be non-winners....as opposed to outright losers!
Check this:
My entire town is out of gas, and there will probably be no further deliveries to the stations for a week to ten days. I just went out at 2am to fill up at the last station that has any. Cost me $75 for two Buick Centry's, one of which already had almost 1/2 tank. Because I only leave the house to pick up my son from school, I miss a lot of action, and found out that today there was a gas run after the Governer of GA made an announcement that when the stations are dry that could be it for about ten days...with no further deliveries till then. Cars were lined up out into the streets just like the big 70's shortage, with the stations running out while in line. As I drove through town looking for gas (the only place that had it was the last station before leaving town, and from there its just rural countryside for about 45 minutes) every station had bags on all the pumps, and the 24 hr places had their store lights on but their pump canopy lights off. Surreal.
I would imagine that similar stories from towns across the SE region bordering gulf states will be popping up all day tomorrow.

Some scenes from around town today...decided to integrate current events into a movie I've been a workin on...
It was really weird trying to convince people to let me get these shots...I'm the only person within around 50 miles of this little area to be doing such stuff, and it draws a huge amount of suspicion. A couple of guys from India were super cool about it though...they just wanted to be assured that I wasnt the news doing some kind of price gouging story (even though, oddly, the Indians were all the cheapest gas around as far as advertised price at time of the big dry up).
