Toast deinterlacing 1080i footage

Despite making sure I don't select the deinterlace option, Toast still seems to be deinterlacing my 1080i50 AVCHD footage when I convert it to another format (be it AIC, ProRes 422, or DVCPROHD). Has anyone else experienced this, or more importantly, discovered a solution?

Hi Geoffrey,

I experienced that too. The entire footage has tiny lines across it. However, when I import the AIC into iMovie HD, the lines are gone.

Not sure if it's the same for Final Cut Pro 6.

Those lines indicate that what you have is indeed interlaced footage. Lines = Interlaced, No Lines = progressive
