To my GH1/GH2 Friends, Portable Camera Jib for $3

Brilliant. It does seem to wobble a bit especially with the pole extended. Looks great for such a low cost solution.

... oh and you really need to tidy up your place :)
 
cute idea. but thats all WAY too shaky to use. at least IMO...
might be very useful in a running (as in foot pursuit) shot. where the shakyness would add to the style. but id say using it for what people expect from a "jib" shot = totally unusable.

At this cost, it is worth building just to see if I can get it to work with a little less shaking (no criticism of your camera technique intended :-))

add some weight at the bottom of the camera as a counter balanceas well as a bearing/ball joint where stick meets cage to remove micro shake and you may be onto something =) a paint roller of all things..ha brilliant!
