I guess my answer is how much do you need it now vs when do we think Apple will release a 720p PAL codec. I was speaking today with Dan Montgomery of HDLOG about the product for an article I am doing. He tells me that European sales are quite brisk because of the 720p issue. I have no idea when Apple is going to release a PAL codec. If I did know, I wouldn't be able to say anyway.
It's a risk/opportunity decision tree that alas only you can climb.

Matt, I dont think the Bronze version would be of much help to you, since it's basically view only. Sounds like what you're wanting is to export the QT clips to something FCP can use? Right now that would be at least the Silver version, $499.
