Hi

Here is a short movie made by my association with our DVX 100. I hope you'll enjoy it.

L'entretien

It's silent, so don't be afraid by French.

BEAUTIFUL! C'est fantastique! Really, I really apppreciate it. Very funny!

Hi

Nope, this was only made with the dvx, no 35 adapter was used.

The set was very long so we had the possibility to scoot out and zoom full.

We also used a "filtre dépolarisant" that increase contrast. I don't know the english name sorry...

Thanks for the comments it's good to hear though I'm not the director.
I'm "only" the screenwriter and the soundman.

I used a Sennheiser K6 + ME64 and a K6 + ME66, . I really like the precision of the aiming. I get only what I want, it's easier in post.

But most of the sound has been re-record after the shooting, in a studio in Paris (well, my father owns a recording studio so....) except for the screaming
(after he get his hand "stabbed" (?) )
And I obviously used libraries from video games.

I admit sounds have been made a bit too quickly but, well, that's not that bad, i hope...

I liked it.. really funny! Would you happen to know the camera settings that were used for this one?

This is something I cannot answer because i wasn't the dp. But I remember it was pretty normal settings. Little black strectch, detail core -2 or-3. Cinelike ... .

The sharpness is more of the long focal shots than internal settings himself...
The lack of color plays his role too.

There is very few cc as I remember because the color is only, White, blue, black with a very little skin color.

So that the color degradation du to the 4.2.0 compression doesn't do his bad job. The only real color is the red pencils. And as you can see it's not "broadcast" du to the dv codec.

There is one shot that is totally missed. It's a profil angle at 2:00.

This is a perfectmy well focused shot. But it's the only shot we use a wide angle converter. And opposed to the exclusive use of long focal... well resolution is not really good...

I don't know if it's seeable with this too compressed file but... it's here.

I see you got some inspiration from 'Requiem for a Dream,' eh? Maybe?

Anyways, I really liked the editing style like it has been said before. I don't really know what the french said but I understood everything. Good composition and nice steady shots. Good job.

Translation : Excellent : but i believe the end scene is a kind of useless

Merci ! on voulait voir le decor integralement cassé (pour se défouler)... mais c'est vrai que ca sert a rien.... mais sur le tournage c'etait rigolo de voir le bordel.

Thanks ! We wanted to see the set completly broken. But its true it's useless for the story. But on the shooting, it was very funny to see the mess...

lol je vois..........., destructive filmmaking going on, you're not called tnt for nothing....
