I come from Cubase where you could scroll the timeline by simply click and drag middlemouse button.
I hate Premieres scrollwheel solution, it's way to slow, so I came up with a solution to implement a click-and-drag feature in Premiere.
Download Autohotkey ( google it ) and load this script:
MButton::
Send h
click down
KeyWait MButton
click up
send v
return
When you click middle mouse button AutoHK will send h keystroke, changing to the handtool in premiere, then leftclick while you hold and drag, and then go back to the selection tool upon releasing the mouse button. A really fancy script would know what tool you had previously, but I haven't looked into that .. yet
Hope someone find this useful!
