Tips needed for shooting fireworks ??

Hi,

I finally got my dvx100a!!! damn nice machine

Tonight we're gonna see some fireworks with the kids, I'd like to shoot them, with a tripod, but if anyone would have some tips about the camera settings I should use for that kind of shooting (master ped, shutter speed, iris...)

I will shoot in 24pa, squeezed.

You should just play around with the settings to see what you like. I have my camera set up to shoot outside at night on like a downtown city street area on my F4 on the scene dial. But those settings might not be conducive to shooting fireworks. You should just play around with the settings to get desired look.
