Times that you have been SERIOUSLY pissed off in the theatre.

Oh man, I went to Syriana last week. It makes me want to put a ban on popcorn. Syriana is 2 and half hours long, correct? Well, the lady sitting about 2 seats away had a large bag of popcorn that she started eating through the previews (now this woman was skinny, and about 40 years old). She ate ONE peice at a time, every 8 seconds or so (yes, I counted). Her arm would go up and place the popcorn carefully in her mouth and she'd chew it until it was completley gone from her mouth. then she'd eat another peice. Over and Over. Crunching and Crunching EXTREMLEY LOUD..

and the kicker of the story is ... she did that... for the ENTIRE DURATION OF THE FILM.

once 3 of my friends and me went to the ciname at 10 AM. 2 other girls were sitting in row13 we in row 15... (there were only 15 rows)

then we started the talking loudly about that we have hired the room, and 2 people have come in.... but when the film started we cooled down

I've got lots of stories about awfull people in movie theaters. But I work at one, so maybe that doesnt count lol.

One time I was doing a theater check in a packed theater and got nailed in the back of the head by a jawbreaker or some other kind of hard round candy. It actually hurt pretty bad, I guess thats why they call it HARD candy. And the worst part was I didn't see who did it so i couldnt kick em out :(

I punched a guy at the movies once. He had a "cape fear" thing going on and got worse the more people asked him to shut up... I shut him up.

Not that it mattered... The movie sucked anyway... "Battlefield Earth"

The people that talk during the whole film are always fun. "Why is she doing that?" "Watch out!" One of the worst things that I've experienced was sitting next to a big group sharing a Chinese takeout dinner during the movie. I mean. they brought a huge %$%#( carryout order into the theater and made a ton of noise and a huge mess and stunk up the whole theater. I wanted to think them into a cornfield, but I just complained to an usher who did nada.

i was once in the theater, the city one. i forget what movie sadly. there were these loud people behind me, obnoxiously loud. it got to the point where i was so mad- and i dont usually ever get like this. i turned around and said SHUT THE F*CK UP.

it was a group of about 5 big black dudes. bad idea. i turned around like i didnt say anything, moved to a seat closest to the exit, and when that movie ended, i was out like a fat kid in dodgeball.

I wish somebody would make theaters with big, wide seats, plenty of room... a lot FEWER seats... and charge 50% more for a ticket.

I'd GLADLY pay $12-$15 to be in a room with other people that paid a premium to actually enjoy the movie. Of course this situation WOULD require policing if needed... 'cause if that one-popcorn-at-a-time-lady ruined my $15 show I'd snap like Nicholson in The Shining.

Parents haven't been raising their kids for the last 20 years... and that's the problem. There's no sense of social courtesy anymore. If those people want to pay for my seat then I'd still be pissed because it's also my TIME... so when they disregard both of those things I want to go DAKO on them.

Honestly one day I probably will... there are so many people with no self-awareness that the world needs a superhero like that.

"Punchyman HELP! I just paid $10 for a show and this jerk is ruining it!"

Dum-da-da-DUM...

POW!

"Thanks Puchyman!"

"No problem now shut up or your next."

I once got mad at some kids talking in a theater so I threw a jawbreaker or some other kind of hard candy at one of them. The thing is, I missed and hit a movie theater employee instead. It nailed him in the back of the head. And the theater was packed so he didn't know who did it. ....Man, I hope I never run into that guy. He was ticked.

Haha PUNK

I can't stand the people who contsantly kick your chair throught he whole movie. The worst theater to go to is this one in boca raton. There all a bunch of snobby rich kids who talk during the whole movie! I get pissed off everytime I go to the movies.

You all don't know how good you've got it! Be grateful. ...Over here they don't care what you do during the movies. People talk on cell phones, kids run around during an "r" rated flick. Anything goes. The movie can be out of focus and it's no big deal. Thai people don't mind because they are tolerant of everything and never complain. But throw this American into that mix and you've got one frustrated movie-goer. Oh, and add to that, the movies are dubbed in thai so you can't understand a single word. Going to go see King Kong tomorrow. Should be 3 hours of frustration and comments like, "What did he say? What does that mean?"

Lol :) good point.

Nobody - Hope my joke didn't bother you. I "sometimes" try and make a joke out of painful memories so people can learn to smile about it. I have been ticked off in the theater before. While waiting in line to see the rerelease of Empire Strikes Back I heard some teenagers bragging about how much beer they had on the way over (while driving). They then took beer inside the theater and began to drink during the opening trailers. It was ticking me off. Not only beacuse they were loud and sitting in front of me, but because these idiots were going to be on the road afterwards. I grabbed the beer from one of their hands and, in my best "dad" voice I said, "Do you want to see the movie or have your parents come pick you up?" They stopped after that, but I couldn't enjoy the movie. One bad moment can ruin a good time.

Evening showing of Sin City was sold out, the wife and I were forced to see Sahara. Crowded theatre. Big guy stuffed in next to me was a loud mouth breather. Soon that was all I could hear. Then he starts with the SBDF's on regular intervals the rest of the movie. My wife keeps looking over at me as if they're mine.

That's why you pay the big bucks to go out in the evening. That and smelling the overload of cologne and perfume.

Now my wife and I pay extra to go to see normal movies in the IMAX theatre, cuts out 50% of those incidents and we get a brighter picture and better sound.

Candy in cellophane wrappers. Especially when the offender is trying to be polite by unwrapping it as s-l-o-w-l-y as possible, as if that makes dragging the crinkling out less annoying. Just rip it open and be done with it already, please!
