Timeline plays something different then export

I've read a few things online about the issue, but I haven't found a solution.

I have a documentary in a timeline.
When I export, some clips are seconds off of what is actually playing in the timeline.

Anyone know why this happens and how to correct it?

Thanks!

Could you provide some specifics about hardware and final cut pro version numbers?

And what are your sequence settings from what cam and what are your export settings?

If I had to take a guess, I'd say it's a framerate disparity. When exporting, make sure your export settings have framerate set to current or the same as your timeline. This would account for frames, not seconds, but it's a place to start.
But yes, more information would help.

Hey guys,
The export settings are the same as the timeline.
All my footage matches the frame rate of my timeline.

Specs:
2.93 iMac
FCP 7.0.3

I've opened the file on a different computer and still got the same results.

Here's an MOV of the issue.

clip 1 is how it plays in the timeline.
clip 2 is the export.

Thanks everyone!

Ah, that's not what I thought you meant. It looks like some of your media is disconnected in your timeline. In the area you're exporting, did you recently replace any raw footage? This would explain why it's a few seconds off (if something was added to the beginning) and why you don't see it when you play the sequence in FCP- for whatever reason FCP doesn't always recognize that you've replaced clips until you manually reconnect them, and could show your old footage from render files. Additionally, media would go offline if the clip you replace isn't the same length as the one you're replacing it with (again, until you reconnect it), so it would explain the offline media.

Another thought - is the footage rendered with effects. I have found that somtimes, FCP references audio incorectly when rendered and then edited. For me it is fixed by deleting all audio and video render files in the Final Cut Documents folder and then re-rendering.

The offline files:
They're not actually offline. I just didn't load the thumb nails.

I tried creating a new sequence with the same file and area.
I matched the timecode, frame rate and compression to the same as the file.
Still the same problem.
Didn't need to render or do anything.
