Timeline display problem

Hi all,

I use (very rarely) version 6.5 Pro. Today I created a new comp and imported a clip into it to experiment with time remapping. As you will see from the screen capture below, the clip is 10 seconds and 23 frames long. However, the timeline will only display the first 10 seconds, no matter what I do to try and resize the window or change the scale of the display.

This is a major bummer since I therefore cannot reach the end keyframe.

Any suggestions as to what to do to be able to see the clip in its entirety ?

Tks a lot in advance !

well they are not the same values. the clip contains the video after the cut so you can edit it, but it will not be played. so the 23 is the "unseeable inclip" :)

Surf, I'm sorry but you've lost me.

What do you mean, "the clip after the cut" ? It's just a clip, and its length is 10 seconds and 23 frames. i just imported it into AE, didn't do anything to it, and I would like to see it entirely in the timeline, which I can't at this point !

Could you be a little more explicit ?

Check the composition's duration in Composition Settings (Composition->Composition Settings). The duration of the composition and duration of the clips in the composition are independent of each other, so you need to might need to increase the duration of the composition to have it encompass the entire clip.

Darn, you were right, Jive ! Shows just how familiar I am with AE... :) A bunch of thanks to you ! I'll make a big Post-It note for this one.

ye it could be the clip after the cut. so if you think it is too short, you just drag the cutting point.
