In April I started shooting my short film entitled, "Out of Time" with my DVX-100A. Eventhough this is my first time with the DVX100A, I've read enough post to get a petty good understanding of the usage of the camera, WRONG!!!!!!! This shoot was going to be the tune up for a major short I was planning on shooting later this year. So my one day shoot has become a nearly nine day shoot (Sundays only). My goals are to enter this piece in film festivals so I had to get the settings proper so that I may at a later time uprez or even transfer to film. So I've had to concentrate on my film settings. One day of shooting I couldn't get the exposure correct. Then we realized that duh! we weren't using the iris setting properly. So now things look slightly better. Like I said, this was going to be a tune up for a larger shoot and it was a big learning experience. I'll post some footage; the good, the bad and the ugly later tonight. This Sunday will be my final shoot day.
