Timelapse

Re: Timelapse

Well, in alot of video cameras (mainly starting with higher end consumer cameras) there will be an "interval record" mode. In the DVX this feature can be accessed in I believe the "record setup" menu. Choose interval record, and then choose both the record duration and record interval. That is, how long you want the camera to record and for how long, for example, record for 2 seconds evey 30 seconds, or 1 second every 15 minutes. You then capture this footage and speed it up in your NLE. I have also heard of people using digital still cameras with special software with good results. Interval recording is hard on your camera heads, so be aware. Hope this helps!

Re: Timelapse

This question has been asked many times on the forum. Please use the search page and you should be able to find lots of info. Don't want to repeat ourselves. ;)

Re: Timelapse

You can record timelapse directly to a hard drive by using Video Man Capture 3.0. Don't even need a tape in the camera. Creates .avi files that can be put on your NLE timeline, or individual images captured as .tiff, .jpg, etc.
Works pretty good, has a 15 day trial.
