So, can the camera shoot at a slower frame rate than 1fps? In the S&M menu I can only go as slow as 1fps.

Just wanting to do a good ol' sunset timelapse. 1fps is ok but I prefer something slower.

Thanks

Nope, 1fps is as slow as it can go. You can always speed up the footage in post.
As new as I am to this I was wondering since im always trying to us 180 degree shutter speed, does that mean that if im doing 1fps I need to use shutter speed of 2?

With timelapse I think you've got a lot more wiggle room, it depends on the feeling you want to convey. For certain shots, I like to have really streaky action, so I will do 1sec shutter or even slower if I'm on my DSLR. If you know that the 1fps mode will give you the overall shot length you need then yes, a shutter speed of 1/2sec (camera displays this as "2") would be 180 degree.
