Timelapse on the Sony a7s

Another option that is free is get a the Timelapse app for your phone which triggers the camera via wifi. You set exposure on the camera but set the interval in seconds in the app and the camera sends a preview of each frame to your phone for monitoring if you want. Seems like a pretty handy way to do timelapse, though I did notice it lagging behind a little on a 1sec interval, probably because it was sending each image to my phone, it may go faster without preview on your phone.

I was about to buy the timelapse sony playmemories app for the camera but then I found this and I think this will probably do for me until I have a specific need otherwise.

Off topic but I also found out that when you try to delete clips in camera it gives you the option to delete all clips just from one day which I could have used on the FS700 a few days ago when I forgot to format a card.

I ended up buying the time lapse app...but, some weird stuff is going on.

I set the time lapse to MANUAL setting however, there is some strange flicker from frame to frame. Almost as if it were set to auto and consistently readjusting the aperture or ISO. Something is definitely up with it.

And, I mean...I dig the look for stylized clips like when I add grain + dirt, hair and flicker...but not for something that I intended on being very clean.

Anyone else seeing this issue?
