Timelapse of the Northern Lights

I was over in Iceland a few weeks ago. Managed to film the Aurora Borealis!

Shot with a naked DVX100B, Progressive (25P) iris fully open, no filters. Shot in slow shutter mode (about 3fps) and then sped up in FCP by 800% - to make it 25fps again.

Little bit of tweaking to brighten the image in FCP - still very noisy, but the best compromise!

To be honest, i was a bit disappointed. The whole screen was kind of a gray blur. I was expecting something that looked like the image you posted.
