timecodes... can't capture.

after recently purchasing a used dvx100a (pal) i have just got onto capturing some footage.
i set my timecodes on my dvx, and when playing back, it shows them.
only, when i put the tape into my other camera to capture the footage, no timecodes, and therefore, i cannot capture the footage on it.

i then tried it with my dvx, and fcp doesn't even realise a camera is connected...

does anyone know of what i am doing wrong here !?

i need to know asap, as i need to shoot some stuff in the morning.

Also, I guess you need to figure out if your camera is working abnormally or not ...
If its going wild and you can't figure out ... just rest it to factory settings (before doing that You need to make sure if TC is doing fine after doing exactly as the manual says)... I guess that would solve your problem ... If the problem persists after going through the thread and resetting you need to consult immediately to your nearest Panasonic Repair Center ... ASAP !!!
