So I let a friend use my 100b. Now when I see the timecode on the lcd display it does not display the frames. it goes as far down as seconds. And I have been having some funky timecode when capturing some 24pa footage.

i just want to get the timecode back to where i can see the frames on the lcd display when shooting. anybody?

Also i have been down the crazy road of capturing 24pa but i haven't seen anything like this. I recorded for a full hour yet their are timecode breaks. and when i ff or rewind, the timecode will increase or decrease by like 3 hours in the log and capture window when i have only advanced 10 minutes or so. Any advice would appreciated. Thanks

going to get the heads cleaned before i try to recapture.

got the tape to capture finally. but still lost on how to get the timecode setting back on the display where it displays the frames.

Sounds like your friend shifted through the Counter button. It's on the inside panel behind the LCD. press it a few times until it cycles back into TC mode. It's all on page 16 of the DVX100A Manual(It should be similar in the 100b) if you want more info.
