Timecode question

OK,

I am shooting a wedding for a friend this evening, and have decided to do this beast in HD on the HVX200. If I can borrow a friends firestore I will be in good shape, but if not, I will be shooting with 1 camera on firestore, and 1 on P2. If I do P2, I will shoot the P2 at 720/24Pn, and put the firestore in native mode, essentially doing the same thing there too. My question is how can i jam sync the timecode? It makes things much easier to sync them when I bring them in for a multicam edit, but is this possible. PN records 24 frames, and with the camera having to pass out 24p to the firestore, is this possible?

Yes, you can sync the timecode, but the camera that will record on P2 media in PN mode must be taken out of PN mode to do this, and then you can switch it back. The camera that is recording to the FS-100 also will have to be in non-PN mode, but you already knew this.

Barry has an article on how to sync timecode here. It's also in the manual, but Barry's explanation is much easier to understand.

ended up in pretty good shape for the event. I was able to borrow my buddy's other firestore so that made it easy to do everything in 1080i like I originally wanted to. Timecode sync took some doing, ultimately had to rush out and buy a new 4 pin to 4 pin cable, but it did the trick.
