Dear Forum Members,
After searching and reading many posts, I have come to the following conclusion regarding a clean, unbroken timecode on the same tape.
Please reply with any additional thoughts.
1. Striping/blacking a tape is no longer desirable or necessary according to MOST, not all DVX users.
2. Set DVX to REC-RUN, not FREE-RUN.
3. Record at least 5-seconds black/color bars before and after each take.
4. If DVX is powered down/battery is replaced/tape is ejected/tape is viewed in VCR mode, stop tape after last take during black/color bar portion. In camera mode, hit REC CHECK.
Is this a good summary? Also, please let me know if there is any exhaustive article regarding this.
Thanks,
CB
