I am not sure if this is a camera issue or a deck issue. I am running into some strange problems all of the sudden when I have been trying to import footage into final cut pro. I keep getting an error message on the computer screen saying it can't find the timecode! I am playing the tape out of a new MiniDV deck. I played the tape in my camera and sure enough the timecode jumps from one number straight to another number right in the middle of the same shot! Is there something I need to adjust on the camera? Until last week, I was using the DVX100 as my deck and I have not ran into NO issues with importing footage or timecode issues for that matter. Now I have the deck and I ran into several problems last night and now tonight it continues. The timecode I put in was 14:01:27:00 this was a long continuous shot but then at what should have been 14 01 29 00, it jumped to 14 01 38 00!!!! I never hit the stop recording button. I have only noticed this on this current tape. I have not checked my other tapes but like I said I used to use the DVX100 all the time as a deck (which has only been for under 6 small projects).
