Time To Pretend

Liked your concept. Liked your transitions from one side of the box to the other reality on the other side.

Thought most of it looked fairly flat and videoish. I thought it needed more shots and cuts, just didnt seem to move forward very well, as in felt a touch slow. Thought all but two actors seemed too young looking to be wanting to escape the 9-5 which kind of threw me off. The actors look is sometimes as important as performance to sell something.

Yeah I know we did this at a workshop for high school kids. So we are all 16. They gave us 5 hours to shoot the whole thing and 2 to edit. So finding a full fledged cast wasn't on the menu. Thanks for the feedback though, very helpful. When you say "video look" what do you mean? Would it be better color corrected differently?

Color correction helps...I like 180 degree shutter at 24fps. You can also crush the blacks a little...the "video" look almost appears to be too clean...you'll want to go for that Cine-film look.

hmm ok I see where your going with it. I'll remember that for sure. Thank you for the advice. Could you also explain to me what shooting in 180 degree shutter is. I have heard of this and know about shutter speed already but am not to familiar with the different degrees.
