Time lapses and quality on the GH1?

I''m shooting a timelapse video of a friend doing a graffiti mural. Should take about 2 hours.

Whats the best way to shoot a time lapse of this? Should I adjust the shutter speed to a really fast shutter?

What would be a good quality to shoot at? It will really only be seen online so dosen't have to be the best but I want it to look good. Thanks!

i'd go with stills too. i tried the time laps cheat by speeding it up on premiere and its no replacement to stills timelaps.

I'm filming it tonight! No time to get one of these. What should my other settings be?
Shutter speed? 720 or 1080? Quality is raw? Anything else?

I'm shooting in 3 hours so I'd really appreciate the help!! Thanks!

thanks I'm gonna shoot 720, Raw. And Sorry 1/2 second shutter is what on the GH1? It goes from 30-4000. Thanks

Nice clip Ben....and all that happened in 17mins?

This is my dodgy attempt at time laps shot 720p at 1/50. 10mins down to 3min

You can see it stutter here and there. probably due to premiere coding it? Oh yeah remember to manually set your WB as it does funny things when shooting outside on auto. You can see it in my clip where it goes from warm to cool and back.

If you're interested, i just posted a timelapse clip on vimeo. See the "timelapse @ home" thread in the GH1 still and motion gallery.

best regards, Gunther
