GH2 Time Lapse without Timer Remote?

Is it possible to do a timelapse without this a timer control/remote (intervalometer)?

Thanks.

If you use manual movie mode, set the framerate to 300%, and keep the shutter at 1/8 (make sure you're in manual focus to get that low) you can get a proper 300% speed timelapse with 180 degree shutter.

300% eh. I presume that's as fast as you can speed things up then. Doesn't sound like it's quite enough to get that dramatic "soaring cloud" effect I'm after.

Thanks

Perfectly possible... just sit by the camera with a watch, and hit the shutter button every few seconds.

Might get slightly boring after the first hour or so.

There is also the option to film with 1/2 shutter, without the 300%. This timelapser software looks great, anyone did try it with a PAL GH2 ?

Thanks all. Looks like there's a way without the timer then (or sitting pressing the shutter every few seconds for hours on end).

Just to confirm ... does software work with GH2 (as asked above)?

The hack for the GH2 is still relatively new, so I don't think changing mpeg to 2fps has been tried yet. Assuming that the mpeg settings can be changed to 2fps then in theory it should work.
