I'll be visiting my hometown of Mexico City in about a month, and would like to try out some time lapse stuff there.

I've searched the forum, but I haven't found clear instructions on how to time lapse using the DVX100A. Can someone please enlighten me?

i suspect the A is similar to the B in that it has the slow shutter function. all you have to do is put ur camera in slow shutter mode (shooting at 1/6 or 1/12) put it on a tripod and film. speed it up to ur desired speed in post....wait ...i think the A model has a timelapse feature. yes i believe it does...i dont know how to use it as i have the B and thats how i did the sunset you saw. Ask C2V ...he has an A model. but u can do it my way if u wanna (if u have slow shutter).

Use preset 56k as i mentioned in my other thread. u may need a graduated ND filter...well i wish i had one. cuz i wa shooting at F16 and full ND and it still was 2 bright cuz i was shooting at a really slow shutter which lets in a tonne of light. the graduated filter keeps the upper part of ur frame darker and leaves the lower part normal exposure. but as u can see from my vid...it still can be pulled off.

mexico should have some awesome sunsets. i wanna do one with a fisheye lens. gotta get that opteka.
