hi everyone,

this is my first time post on this site. i have an important questions to ask.
recently I just bought a dvx100b, time-lapse is one of the reasons for me to get this. but when I start to play with the camera, I find out dvx100b does not have one shot ON function. not like dvx100a. I plan to use this camera to shoot a documentary, which I will interview bunch of people, and the change over time from day to night, such as construction site, street traffic are key scenes.....
Anyway, is there any solution on the dvx100b, or I just need to return dvx100b and change to another camera. if that is the only solution, which model do u guys suggest....I bought this from Willoughbys, they will not refund but only store credit. And there is no dvx100A left.....
I am new to DV cam, I really want to do a good job on this documentary.

No timelapse was one of the features deleted on the B model. Too bad you didn't do the research before purchasing if timelapse was part of your plan all along.

If you have a DSLR you could do the timelapse with it maybe. Not sure what else you have access to.

now I want to cry now. A month ago I was looking at dvx100a, I make sure it had time lapse. Then when I really decided to buy it, bunch of place already out of dvx100a. So I assume B will only improve not get rid of some function. this is my first big investment. I will used premier to do the editing.
I checked the DSLR, it seens like this have to link to a computer when shooting. Thank you for the suggestion.
And I think it is interesting that Isara logo looks alike burningman logo.

I have a DVX100A but never would use the timelapse feature on it anyway. Too much wear & tear on the heads and transport.
