time lapse on dvx100a

sorry for this post. i'm sure there are many threads on the site that answer this question. i'm a little out of time, though. that said, is there an interval function on dvx100a. my client needs a time lapse on sd.

or can i do a time lapse on hvx200 in SD mode to tape? does the intervalometer function in the SD mode on that camera?

As far as I know the timelapse function was removed due to some improvement in the tape motor system on the A and B versions of the camera.
The DVX100 has some sort of timelapse function, but not the later models.
