Time Lapse. Monitor on 7Q?

I'm about to shoot a little Time Lapse with the FS700. Done it in the past, but never with the 7Q. I've got it all set up to record internally to the SD Card.

Can i still use the 7Q to monitor the time lapse? Right now, I'm just getting color bars on the 7Q, probably because the FS700 is set to output HD only (only way i saw to record time lapse).

Any tips, let me know.

put the 7Q in the normal DPX or ProRes (HD signal, not FS700 RAW) mode. That should show whatever is coming out of the FS700 in its HD output mode.
