HPX250: Time for a 270 category or Prefix

I agree…but this site in general has pretty much turned into "dslruser" ...

Weeks will go by in this forum between posts related to the PX-270. Heck…last post is a thread I started over a month ago with the most recent reply being Dec 6th…I rest my case.

I think many peeps went elsewhere. I fall into that as well. I get everything I need at Reduser these days, other than Panny specific stuff…
It's a shame, dvxuser used to be awesome. It's kinda where it all started. It's just kinda dull around here these days...

This dslr/4k craze will eventually lose its steam and traditional long-form camera will resurface again. For folks who's doing long-form docs, multi cams, 1-man crew, dSLR is just not the right tool for unscripted coverage. I do not find any dust accumulating on traditional video camera. it's actually being used fairly often and still viable. In fact, the footage shot with Film Rec on traditional Panasonic cams turns out pretty good. Has all of the vivid colors and deeps black just like the 4K cams. Granted won't have that nice down sampled 4K-1K effect but it's not too far off.

Considering the Panasonic section has three forums for discontinued cameras and two more for about-to-be-discontinued cameras, there seems to be general inattention to keeping things current in that regard.

I agree the 270 needs its own category, it is a very powerful camera that most people are not aware of and hiding it in the 250 category helps no one.
