time code turned off when camera is on standby

hello there i was filming with my dvx100a the other day and the time code turned off then came back on 1min later and i could not film till it was back.it did it when i was not recording and the camera was just on stand by.is my camera stuffed?
 
i have the 100B and the timecode does goes to 00:00:00 while on standby
but usually it goes back to the running TC once i press record. it might be a
glitch in your cam... does it happen often.
 
then that's not a problem. If you you don't lose your TC point then its all good.
I think the camera is built that way, i've gotten use to it. We'd have to talk to
a Panasonic specialist to understand why the camera does that.
