Time code settings for scenalyzerlive

When I use my Pc I use a capture program called Scenalyzer that splits my tape up at the time/datestamps, and creates a file for each clip, I am capturing my first tape from my dvx100a and it is not recognizing and splitting at the date stamps, I thought this was laid down automatically, but maybe not? Any ideas on what settings i could change to get what I want?
