Time code on 200 vs. 100

Having made the move from a 100b to a 200 (an old one) I have been trying to figure out the time code mechanism on the 200. One of the things I like about the 100 is that every time I begin a new shot, the time code shows the elapsed time for that shot. The 200's way of simply adding time code to one massive total doesn't help me follow the duration of the shot I'm on. I've been looking through the books and fiddling with the settings, but there doesn't seem to be the same type of option on the 200. Is the time code on the 100 not "real" time code? Am I missing something?

Also, I have been searching through threads here about resetting the 200 time code to zero. That seems possible with other cameras (e.g., 150) but the same option doesn't seem to exist on the 200.

Thanks.

I think you're confusing timecode with the clip counter. press the "counter" button a few times and it will toggle among various displays, including timecode, user bits, and the clip counter.

Resetting the timecode to zero is done by going into the menus to the timecode preset screen, and then pressing the TC RESET button.
