I've been using the dvx for over a year now and never had this problem, but this weekend I shot some footage in 24pa and when I went to capture it in fcp4.5, it kept having dropped frames and time code errors. I then put the tape back in the dvx and switched it to vcr mode. It wouldn't play and the timecode wouldn't register. The timecode that was on there before was frozen with an * in front of it. I could hear the tape rewinding and fast-forwarding by the way.
