Help!

I cannot seem to log and capture any longer.
I get a message "searching for timecode" and it will not capture the footage.

I just got my camera back from being loaned out, the only setting that was changed (as far as I could tell) was the setting that enables the timecode to run all the time as opposed to only when tapeing.

I use FCP to edit.

Anyone got any ideas?

Re: Time Code Issue

i had the exact same problem after my dvx-100a went in the shop to have the firewire port replaced...

i post messages on here for a week and nobody had any solutions.

i finally went through all the settings and there is a way to reset the settings for each section. do that and hopefully it will fix the problem.

also, i tried the reset button on the camera but that did not help.

go through the menus, i forget exactly where the reset was but there was a place to reset pretty much at the end of each section in the menu.

let me know if you can't find it and i'll take my dvx and go through the menus. also let us know if this worked!

Re: Time Code Issue

I got my camera to log and caputure finally,
however, I do not know what I did to fix the problem.

I put in several new tapes, then it worked.

I found out that the guy who borrowed my camera used 83 min tapes in it. Could this have caused the problem?

Hey matthewd5,
I would like to know more about the reset button, In case this happens again. I went through the menus, and could not find it.

Thanks
