GH2 Tiling on GH2 I just got (used).

I just got in a used GH2 I purchased off Ebay. I'm doing some test shots and I'm getting tiling(image breaking up) and other weird image issues.
-SanDisk Extreme 32 GB class 10
-Flowmotion 2.02 (Firmware 1.1)
I noticed it happens when the subject was close to the edge of the frame moving in or out of the frame.
I played the original file in VLC and it does the same.
Actually it keeps getting worse the more I play it. On intial import into PPRO I didn't notice anything the first few plays. Then this stuff started showing up. The more I play it no matter what I'm using PPRO/AE/VLC the worse it gets.
I don't know if this is the camera, the new card, or the hack. Maybe someone here can help. Here are a couple examples.

Does it do this if you play it back on the camera? Looks like data corruption which may or may not be in the original file. Are you playing back off the card or off of a file transferred to the computer?

OK, so I copied the files off my hard drive and dropped them back onto my SD card (I must of cut instead of copied when I transferred them to my computer) and when I play it on the camera it stops at the point where the tiling starts on the video. It just freezes at that point. The initial playback was from my computer not the card.

Sounds like it got corrupted during the initial copy to the computer. And now that it's corrupted on the computer, it'll be corrupted everywhere. Do you still have the original footage on the original SD card?

No, I must of cut or dragged from the SD card initially. I'm using a 3.0 USB card reader and I also have a 3 foot USB 3.0 extender going from the reader to the back USB 3.0 port. So maybe it could be one of those items causing it. I'll just have to do some more test shots and see. Next time if it does happen, I'll be sure to reference the original file on the card via the camera.

What is weird is the lost data pattern changes. One point I had a bunch of green squares, but I can't duplicate that now. Now there is more lost data towards the center where there wasn't any earlier. Very strange.

I think you should focus in finding out whether the GH2 is defective or not as soon as you can so that you can return it for a refund.

I suggest that you:
1. Get a new SD card (something small like 8Gb should suffice, but get a reputable brand from a reputable source).
2. Take new videos.
3. Play in camera and observe.
4. Transfer videos to computer (without using 3 foot cable, and using good transfer process).
5. Observe videos in your computer using different players if necessary (mplayer and VLC are usually good, or try Quicktime and WMP if you have Windows).
6. Go back and repeat 2-5.
7. In case of doubt, post the original source to Vimeo for other folks to see.
8. And if you have problems, return that lemon to it's original owner!

I just discovered my ss hard drive had fallen off my computer tower sometime today. I don't know if it was before or after I transferred the footage. I've shot and transferred several pieces of footage with alot of movement since with no issues. Definite possible culprit.

Update for future members who might come across this. It happened again. So I deleted the file off my hard drive copied it again from my SD card and everything worked fine. So it is definitely happening during the transfer process and is not the fault of the camera/hack/card. It is either my card reader, USB 3.0 extender or hard drive. More to come.
