Tiffen IR Filter - anyone tried

Hello,

Has anyone tried the Hot Mirror (IR) filter from Tiffen on the PMW-EX1/3 series to eliminate the IR contamination issue withouth green tints?

The RedRockMicro is over my budget and too complicated - you need a mattebox + the filter + other supports.

I've been told that Schneider Optics is coming out with a new version of their filter soon. I would wait for them as they supposedly have the best solution to the problem.

I'd wait for a Schneider Optics solution as well. The square filter is $850. Schneider's 4X4 will run about $400.

what about a 77mm one though? cheaper again?
