Tiffen Filter

Hey all,

Sorry if this is a duplicate post, but I have been searching for quite some time trying to figure out the best filter for my situation.

I am broke. I need to protect my beautiful old school HVX200. I don't want a crappy picture, but I don't want to spend 100bucks on a clear piece of glass.

I was looking at Tiffen's UV filter here.

If not suggestions? Need ASAP

So you have not noticed any degrading in the picture quality?

Of course the quality of everything you put in front of the lens matters. If you are going to put a protective filter on the camera, get the best (your) money can buy. A cheap piece of glass with no coatings to reduce flare and reflections will degrade the image.
