Tiffen Filter Quality

Man, I just got a 4x4 Grad ND white water glass supremo deluxe Tiffen filter, pulled it out of the wallet and saw 3 distinct dark streaks running vertically through the ND part of the glass. You actually dont see it until you hold it up to the sky but still cant believe something like that ever got out of the factory (cant believe what I paid for it either). If this is an example of quality control, makes me wonder if anyone else has had issues with Tiffen filters or if it has anything to do with so many of them on ebay.
Anyone have similar experience or did i just get that one in a million?
 
Sounds like you just got that rare defective one. Tiffen QC is normally very good...I've never had a problem with the dozens of Tiffen filters I have owned.
I'm sure they will replace it without a problem.
