Last night we got bombed by this electrical storm, which was without precipitation for an hour. Shot using pre-rec, the only way to get the lightning bolts.
Excuse the title...couldn't help myself!

The camera and the codec handled that challenge very well.

BTW: I have experienced one of those big "southerly buster" in Sydney a couple of years ago. Spectacular.
 
Living on the coast facing south, the classic 'southerly buster' is a fact of life here, it's actually a buzz living in the weather
The old 1930's weatherboard takes a hiding often, but we really feel for your buddies down south, you'd reckon fate might hand them a good bit of luck soon.
