I hope. That casting is more insipid than inspired. As someone who was a Stooges nut as a kid (even did a school project about them), I have no interest is seeing these three – especially Penn and Benicio – in these roles.

Now I'm going to go search for a "Curly Shuffle" mp3.

read - it'll be stupid, inane, and sophomoric. as a Stooges fan, I'll pass.

He was also pretty funny in Sweet & Lowdown. That said, I don't know who this movie is for. I have zero interest in seeing a modern 3 stooges. Some things are best left in the era they were made.

Batuta are there still women in America who look like this.
I remember the old " Old Spice" commercials and these beautiful women with theire wavy hair when I from was kid ,back in the eigthies.

They remade Little Rascals, it tanked as a modern story, just like Leave it to Beaver and Brady Bunch. The only reason those worked in the first place was because of the time the characters were in. Fat Albert actually sort of transitioned well, but again, not quite.
 
This cannot be for real. Please GOD tell me this is NOT for real.

If this IS for real then why bother with sticking to the Three Stooges premise when we all know this will resemble a Three Stooges flick about as much as a beer commercial? Why not just go ahead and do a Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest?

And Sean Penn, one of the greatest living actors, imo? Big time Oscar Winner, as is Benicio? Have the offers dried up THAT much? What favors do they owe?

This reminds me of the time Deniro played Fearless Leader in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. I mean, SOMEONE must have had incriminating photos for him to even agree to it....much less show up on filming days.....

The Brady Bunch actually made a lot of money, and the joke was that they put them in modern times without updating them. It was kind of subversively funny in its way...Good god, am I actually sticking up for the Brady Buunch movie? By no means do I think it was good, just a little more clever than I expected. I only saw it because it was on cable. You all believe me, right?

LOL. Riiiiight. I have to admit I did catch it on cable and was definitely surprised at how funny both of them were. Nice to see Shelly Long again too. But I'm not feeling this. I'm thinking Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey and maybe someone else but I'm drawing a blank for Curly. Jim Norton comes to mind.
