Three problems with my new sony a7s

I have the camera for one week and I have three problems with it, I don´t know if they are normal or not:

1.- It takes 8 seconds to boot, I tried to reset it, change memory, change batteries ... and nothing works, I have the sony card with 95MB / s SDXC and even with or without other cards takes the same times and that is too much for me.
2.- The image stabiliser does not work, I've connected the lens sony 18-55 that has stabiliser and does not recognise it, so... isn´t the OSS working?
3.- I can not make the sleep mode to work in any of the ways.

Thanks in advance.

I guess it may be possible you got a lemon... can you send it back for an exchange? I read somewhere you can do a harder reset by setting the date two months ahead then restarting.. that was for a sensor issue but id give it a try anyway.

1 mine takes 2-3 seconds every start Sandisk Extreme Pro 64 GB 94MB/s.

2 My 18-55 ISS is not working either, this lens works in other Sony NX5n, however my new 27-70 F4 Sony/Zeiss works very well, so I think only newer lenses work with A7s. The 18-55 is a very cheap lens I never use, it came with the NX5n.

3 Mine falls asleep according to what I set in the menu.

So 2 out of 3 indicate an RMA to Sony if resetting does not work. Call Sony on Monday...

1 I actually experienced this, when I installed a new camera app on the sony. Go to the squares menu and select Application List, then application management. Delete what ever is installed, it will make the boot time much faster. (Don't worry you can always redownload the apps again at a later point.)
2. You need to make sure you have "steadyshot" turned on. You can find this under the Camera Icon page 7

I had a few pixels out on my a7S. They've been reset (using the two month process), and everything seems back to normal.
I still have an inkling to send it back for replacement anyway because I'm wondering if the sensor is sampling nearest pixels to 'cover' the problem area before the reset.
I am at the end of the return policy from B&H, and wonder if the newer camera will be any better..
What would you do.. =]

Mine takes 2-3 seconds to display an image (live view), but a total of 13-15 seconds to be "ready to shoot" (show display info etc.)
Is that normal?!

That's exactly what was wrong with mine and I think it's not normal, Many people say that they start in one or two seconds.

I noticed that slow boot also only when putting a new battery in, after that first time with new battery, it would start up fast in 2 or 3 seconds.

I get the same thing. New battery increase the startup time and since installing apps, I've noticed the camera randomly takes longer to boot.

What do you mean by "putting a new battery in"? A brand new battery or a freshly charged one?
