We kicked off Cinevate's DSLR giveaway contest today (in case you missed the contest announcement) so I figured you folks would enjoy this clip shot with 3 Canon 5D MKIIs fitted out with our DSLR shoot rigs:

http://www.warmandweepy.com

It was originally shot to demonstrate the quick transitions between tripod, shoulder mount, steadicam and our Pegasus LTS systems but we had so much fun with it, the decision was made to use it in our contest launch. Contest aside, it's a very cool clip.

Cheers,
Dennis.

I saw that today actually and I thought it was so awesome. It was like the Saving Private Ryan of Paintball. I would so enter this but I have no equipment right now maybe there will be another one sometime in the future. I want to find a paintball place like this in Toronto, lol.

The contest objective is to show us (using food products, or recycled materials to make your rig) why you need a DSLR rig. If you can get a hold of some semblance of a camera to shoot the 30 second piece with, you're just the kind of shooter we're looking for. Ghetto is good! Btw, the DSLR rig work just fine with just about any camera, DSLR, film or video, on the planet.

The great thing about Thunder Bay is that a 10 minute drive from the city center gets you in the midst of dense boreal forest. It makes for some great mountain biking, cross country/downhill skiing and of course, paintball.

Thanks Eric. Patrick was using the Flyer LE. He's configured our DSLR rig/Titan mattebox to what he calls "the sweet spot" in terms of weight to fly smoothly, but still allow the shoulder mount to be removed for tripod/Pegasus LTS use. He talks about his preferred setup for the Flyer LE in the latest clip at Cinevate's Video University. It's the first vid on the page. We also give you a sneak peak at something we're calling "Medusa".

Cheers,
Dennis.

Patrick (Stillmotion) and I had some fun shooting a DSLR overview last month.

Included is a shot of perhaps the worlds first cable-cam 5D MKII, and a sneak peek of something we're calling "Medusa".

Cheers,
Dennis
