Firestore Drive 1:
This drive is fully functional and in excellent condition, however, its firmware version is 2.0.3. This version is outdated and does not enable recording files in Quicktime format. I do not know if the update is available or possible.
Firestore Drive 2:
This drive is fully functional except the Firewire port that allows you to connect the Firestore to your computer is damaged. The other Firewire port that connects to your camera is fine. You must use one of two work-arounds to offload your video files to your computer. You can connect this Firestore to your computer using the other Firewire port, play your video clips, and then capture your video files using your video editing software. Or you can take apart the Firestore and manually connect its harddrive to your computer using a SATA to USB adapter, and then offload your files. I do not know if this damaged computer port is repairable by an electronics technician. Other than the one port being damaged, this drive is fully functional and updated with the latest 4.0.1 firmware and able to record in Quicktime format.
Firestore Drive 3:
This drive is not functioning. It powers on then stops at the screen saying "Please Wait". If you go through the windows and select format the harddrive, it says "No HD Detected" but you can hear the harddrive spinning. I have tested its internal harddrive and it is functional and can be used as a replacement harddrive if the other ones fail. This Firestore is loaded with the latest Firmware version 4.0.1 and shows the Quicktime format option. I do not know if this Firestore is repairable but may be used for parts.
